This sculpture is a museum replica of the bust of the Hermes of Praxiteles, or the Hermes of Olympia, that was found in the ruins of the Temple of Hera in Olympia, Greece. The original, now housed in the Olympia Museum, was supposedly produced by Praxiteles in 340 BC and is seen as the epitome of the ideal image of youthful gods in Greek art. This piece is made of plaster and has a small seal indicating that it was produced by Nick Botsas.
